Free School Meals Application Form

Dear Parent/Carer

Schools receive pupil premium funding to help raise achievement and attainment among disadvantaged students. The premium helps target resources to provide help and support to those most in need. It is therefore important that all students eligible for free school meals, even if they don’t have a meal, are known to the school.

Free school meals are available to families who are in receipt of one of the following benefits:

  • Income Support
  • Income based Jobseekers Allowance
  • Income-related Employment and Support Allowance  
  • Child Tax Credit Only and your annual taxable income is less than £16,190
  • Guarantee element of State Pension Credit
  • Support under Part V1 of the Immigration & Asylum Act 1999

The school also provides financial help and support for pupils in receipt of free school meals as follows:

  • Free tie/badge
  • 50% subsidy for PE kit
  • 50% subsidy for music tuition
  • Free resources for Food/Textiles/Design Technology
  • 50% subsidy for revision guides
  • 75% subsidy on travel for school bus service (HF1/HF2/HF3)

If you meet the above criteria and wish to apply for free school meals please complete application form B1 (attached).  The form and the required proof of benefit should be sent directly to:
