Another impressive set of results in the Sixth Form
99% pass rate in all subjects
Over half (53%) of all the grades achieved were at A*/A or Distinction*/Distinction
Over a quarter (26%) of all grades achieved were at A* or Distinction*
Average grade in the Sixth Form was a grade B
Once again we are delighted with this year’s achievements with a 99% pass rate in all subjects and over a half of all the grades achieved were at A*/A or Distinction*/Distinction. There have been many strong individual performances across the ability range and the vast majority of students have been accepted onto a university course of their choice or achieved the grades they needed for their chosen career. The results are a reflection of the hard work and commitment of students and staff underpinned by great support from parents. We would like to congratulate all our students and offer them our very best wishes for the future.

Some notable student achievements:
James Meadows achieved a phenomenal 3 A* grades in Maths, Chemistry and Physics and an A grade in Further Maths. James is off to study Natural Sciences at Cambridge University.
Chloe Clitheroe achieved 3 Distinction* grades in Science, ICT and Health & Social Care. Chloe is off to study Primary Education at Liverpool John Moores University.
Liam Dormer achieved an A* in Maths and a further 3 A grades in Further Maths, Physics and Chemistry. Liam is off to study Maths at Liverpool University.
Beth McShane achieved 3 Distinction* in Science, ICT and Health & Social Care. Beth is off to study Computer Science at Liverpool John Moores University.
Michael Powell achieved an A* in Spanish and 2 A grades in English and French. Michael is off to study French and Hispanic Studies at Liverpool University.
Chelsea Riley achieved 3 Distinction* grades in Science, Business and Health & Social Care. Chelsea is off to study Nursing at Northumbria University.
Anna Sweeney achieved 2 A* grades in English and Spanish and an A in French. Anna is going to study Modern Languages at Newcastle University.

Another impressive set of GCSE results for Holy Family
We are really pleased, once again, with this year’s examination results. There have been many outstanding individual achievements across a wide range of subjects and the students and their families can be extremely proud. The results are a reflection of the hard work and commitment of both students and staff, underpinned by great support from parents. We wish them every success in the future and look forward to welcoming them back to our Sixth Form.

Some outstanding performances include:
Jacob Whittingham achieved excellent grades in all his GCSEs including one at grade 9 and five at grade 8. Jacob will continue his studies in the Sixth Form.
Natsaha Dowd achieved excellent grades in all her GCSEs including two at grade 9 and two at grade 8. Natasha is off to continue her studies at LIPA.
Sarah Fell, Lucas Frost and Lindsey Webb all achieved an impressive 10 GCSEs with over half at the highest grades.
Joel Brooks, Callum Hayes, Megan Redmond-Ball and Owen Smith all scored grade 7 or above in at least four of their subjects.
Amasha Fernando only came to the UK 18 months ago and she overcame language barriers to achieve a fantastic set of results. A reward for her fantastic efforts and dedication to her studies.
Luke Cheshire gained 9 superb GCSE grades having overcome the personal heartbreak of losing his mum in February. Luke has shown such resilience in what will have been such a tough time. His whole family will be proud of how well Luke has done given the circumstances.
