Another impressive set of results in the Sixth Form

  • 100% pass rate in all subjects
  • Nearly a half of all the grades achieved were at A*/A or Distinction*/Distinction
  • Nearly a quarter of all grades achieved were at A* or Distinction*
  • Average grade in the Sixth Form was a grade B
  • 85% of all grades at grade C/Merit and above

Once again we are delighted with this year’s achievements with a 100% pass rate in all subjects and just under a half of all the grades achieved were at A*/A or Distinction*/Distinction.  There have been many strong individual performances across the ability range and the vast majority of students have been accepted onto a university course of their choice or achieved the grades they needed for their chosen career. The results are a reflection of the hard work and commitment of students and staff, underpinned by great support from parents. We would like to congratulate all our students and offer them our very best wishes for the future.

Mr M Symes, Headteacher.

Some of our individual student successes:

Joshua McCann gained 3 A’s and a Distinction*.  He will be studying Chemistry at Liverpool University.

Emily Williamson is to study Biomedical Science having gained 2 A’s and a B.

Bethany Imms has gained the place she wanted studying Operating Department Practice having gained 2 Distinction*’s and an A.

Jack Bargery and James Royle are both off to Liverpool University where they will be studying Politics.

Farah Hodges did brilliantly and is off to Livepool University to study Law.

And another impressive set of GCSE results for Holy Family

  • Another increase in the percentage of students achieving grades 9-4 at GCSE.
  • More students achieving a pass grade in Maths and in English.
  • 80% of students achieving a pass grade in English.
  • 78% of students achieving a pass grade in Maths.
  • Across all subjects, 80% of all grades at 9-4.

We are delighted with this year’s examination results which have improved, once again, on the previous year.  There have been many outstanding individual achievements across a wide range of subjects and the students and their families can be extremely proud.  The results are a reflection of the hard work and commitment of both students and staff, underpinned by great support from parents.  We wish them every success in the future and look forward to welcoming many of them back to our Sixth Form.

Mr M Symes, Headteacher.
