2024 wheelchair basketball
I wanted to take a moment to share the highlights of our recent school trip Greenbank Sports Academy. It was an incredible experience, and I thought you’d appreciate hearing about, and seeing the fantastic time our students had!
Our students were engaged and enthusiastic throughout the session. They explored how to play Basketball and other modified games using a wheelchair. It was wonderful to see their curiosity and excitement in action.
A few standout moments included James winning all of the races at the beginning of the session, Aaron the super shooter and Alfie turning the game from basketball to rugby when he was given the go ahead to ‘block’ players- he ended up like a charging bull!
The students demonstrated exceptional behaviour and teamwork, and the feedback from Steve and the staff at Greenbank was overwhelmingly positive. Their enthusiasm and respect for the environment and each other were truly commendable.
A big thank you goes out to all the staff members who helped coordinate and chaperone the trip. Their dedication and support were invaluable in making this experience memorable and smooth.
