On day 2 the candidates had a more challenging journey, headed into the hills towards Austwick following the Penine Bridleway.  The weather was very warm and the candidates had to use the skills they were taught to navigate and manage their food and water supplies sparingly.  In the evening they camped at Dalesbridge Activity centre.

All 17 candidates successfully passed their Silver level of the expedition section of the Duke of Edinburgh Award Scheme.
