Spring Arts 2019
This year's Holy Family High School Spring Arts Concert took place on Thursday 4th April 2019 in the school hall and featured a tightly packed programme of music covering a wide range of styles. The two hour show gave proud parents and pupils a chance to sample some of the work undertaken over the past months by the pupils and teaching staff.
The concert opened with a performance from the choir that now has more than forty members. They sang ‘Dream a Little Dream’ by The Mamas and the Papas.
Amy Thompson played ‘Trumpet Tune’ which was enthusiastically received!
The choir performed a powerful version of John Legend’s ‘All of Me.’ which left the audience stunned by their enthusiasm for singing.
Luke Dunford’s accomplished performance of ‘Broadway’ on saxophone was outstanding. He is definitely one to watch in the future!
The welcome addition of our Jazz Band playing ‘Jump Out’ left the audience wanting more. Exciting times ahead for this group.
Saqqara Robinson danced a ‘King of the Fairies’. We look forward to hearing how she does in her upcoming entry to the Irish Dancing World Championships. There were contributions from year 7, 8 & 9 vocal groups and this year Harry Bond sang ‘Mr Cellophane from the musical Chicago.
Seasoned performer Tilly Withell came through again with a strong performance and was a consummate professional! Finally, a passionate performance by Daniel Wilde playing ‘Crazy Train’ by Ozzy Osborne. A rousing conclusion to a varied and entertaining evening.
