We are a strong and vibrant community at Holy Family Catholic High School combined with the excellent education we provide we also have an exceptionally skilled student services team where we offer a holistic and tailored approach in caring for your child's needs.
Student Services offers strong pastoral support to every family who attends the school community; we have access to a School Nurse, a Therapist, Education Welfare Officer and a Careers Officer who are all based on site and will provide first class care in their support to your child.
Life at Holy Family provides the right combination of independence, education, opportunity and pastoral support to prepare your child for the next steps in life, whatever that may be.
We are a little different from other schools we offer vibrant, friendly support and the atmosphere is very relaxed. At the same time pupils are free to be themselves and it's a place where they are intellectually stimulated and challenged and are supported to develop a genuine love for learning and discovering their full potential both in and outside the classroom. But the real success is measured by the individual accomplishments and happiness of each pupil.
Outside the classroom, pupils have the opportunity to pursue their interests through a wide range of extracurricular activities, societies, projects and internships that only Holy Family Catholic High School can offers. Your child will experience an education that offers a social environment that will help them achieve to their full potential.
We place emphasis on a child's character. The inspiring stories of our past pupils' progress and achievements demonstrate just what being educated at Holy Family Catholic High School offers your child.
We use rewards to create a positive ethos in the school. As well as rewarding pupils for 100 percent attendance and punctuality, we reward work of high quality and service to the community. In our rapidly changing world, pupils need a thorough and well-rounded education to succeed and enjoy life. Holy Family Catholic High is more than just a school. Not only do our pupils achieve top grades, but they also leave with the depth of character and steadfast values that set them apart from other young people.
We are very proud of our links with the community and the role we play within it. The students and staff are involved in a vast number of projects with the local business and community groups. The school also plays host to a number of external agencies and clubs, events and associations all offering a wide range of extracurricular support to your children.
We are blessed to be able to offer such a vast amount of support that can and will enrich the lives of our pupils making them tomorrow's educators and leaders. These are links that we are thrilled to hold and will continue to develop, allowing us the chance to benefit from the ties and opportunities they offer, supporting us to present our students and school into the wider and hopefully global communities.
The well-being of our pupils lies at the heart of what we do. The school is a unique learning community aiming for continual vision, progress and achievement. Every member of staff accepts responsibility for the academic and personal development of each and every pupil placed under their care. We understand that all families are different and that it is our role to complement the work of parents whom we expect to be full partners in supporting and encouraging their children. In all this, working closely together is essential - parents, pupils and the school communicating easily will undoubtedly create a family environment.
The Student Services Team also offers a summer school to help with your child's transition into high school. The summer school timetable will offer literacy and numeracy workshops, getting to know your school environment, sport sessions, cooking classes and some fun days out. This will enable each child to get to know each other and arrive for high school more confident and raring to go!
